Hello world!
The project Klim-QML is a project of the DLR Quantum Computing Initiative of the German Aerospace Center (DLR) and located at the DLR Institute of Atmospheric Physics (IPA). The team is split over IPA’s main location in Oberpfaffenhofen near Munich and the DLR Quantum Computing Innovation Center in Ulm. We study how to improve climate models with quantum computing, building upon the work of the USMILE ERC project that improves climate models with machine learning. Improving climate models is important to reduce uncertainties in their projections for robust technology assessment and mitigation recommendations and to contribute to a sustainable development of transport, aeronautics, and energy.
